Introducing New Staff Uniforms
At Oak Mount Care Home we have started the process of making all our staff uniforms, erm, uniform across the board. Historically we have had different uniforms for the female and male Carers, which has lead to a far from ideal situation. Going forward, we will have all Care Assistants wearing pale blue, as modelled here by a long term member of staff, the lovely John. All Seniors will have a mid-blue and Domestic cleaners will wear grey. This will help residents and visitors immediately identify who is in charge of the shift if they need some help. We have ordered the first batch, checking all the sizes are correct, and then once we have done that, we should have the new uniforms in place in a week or two.
Also, you can see that John is now wearing his new hi-vis badge, which all staff members now have. We hope this will help the residents to easily read and identify staff members by their first name, helping to make them feel more at home.
